Mother : Love

This is the story of a woman who is a mother to three men. As the mother aged she equally divided all her wealth among her 3 children and she also announced that she will be staying with each of her sons for 3 months. All the three brothers were really excited to welcome their mother home and take care of her. They were happy to see her. Eventually the excitement among the brothers and their family seemed to be lost somewhere. The children were not that happy to see their mother. The mother began to feel the pain of this.

One day she had a friend visit her. The mother broke down into tears and the friend embraced her and gave her a suggestion.

The mother returned to one of her sons with a jewellery box. The son and his family were curious to know what was within the box and they asked her. The mother said the box was very precious and that the box should be opened only after her death. The son passed the information to his other two brothers. All three sons and their wivves were all eager to know what was in the box and if mother had more such valuable possessions. They all began to take care of her very finely. They expressed a lot of love and affection to her. The mother lived happily for another 10 years.

At the age of 80 it was finally time for her to leave the materialistic world. The friend of their deceased mother who visited long back showed up at the funeral with the key to the jewellery box which their mother was keeping for a long time. The three brothers took a break from everything they were doing and rushed to the lady. The friend of their mother gave the key to the elder son. The man hurried to the box, accompanied by his brothers.

The brothers opened the box. They found a few stones in the box. The brothers were surprised to end up just with some stones. One among the three asked the elder brother to check the small drawer of the box. The elder brother checked the box thoroughly to find a letter in the box. The letter was from their mother.

The letter was enclosed with words that carried the pain of their mother. The brothers read the letter. The letter said how she failed as a mother to teach them the real value of life. Her sons were bound to wealth, they valued money above anything. Now that they have loved her and taken care of her for the possessions, the love and care shed by the brothers to their mother was purely for the sake of her wealth, it hurted her a lot.

She wanted them to change, to be more human and worthy to the people and the relationships above anything. A mother is someone who sacrificed many things for the sake of family especially for her children and if we don't treat them right we are the worst.

There is no wealth that can even be a competition to a mother's love
