God's will
A rich doctor set off to Mumbai from Delhi to take part in a conference. The doctor was supposed to be the lead in the presentation. He had prepared well and he was excited to share the information he had collected and prepared. The doctor reached the airport and he had done the check-in. He was all the way excited to make his way to Mumbai to attend to the conference. Half an hour post the flight's take off the flight experienced challenges due to poor weather and they were forced to land elsewhere. The captain announced that they are left with fewer choices so keeping safety in mind, they are landing.
The doctor became really annoyed at the situation. As soon as the flight landed the doctor approached the airport authorities expressing his annoyance about the situation. Another gentleman at the airport who happened to be a co-passenger recognized him and walked up to the doctor and identified him as Dr. Patnaik and told him that he was also supposed to attend the same conference, but due to constraints they were facing he offered an option that if Dr. Patnaik can afford to travel by car he can make it to the conference by time. Dr. Patnaik booked a cab to Mumbai and started his journey.
Even by the road, the journey was really difficult and after 2 hours of journey the cab driver realized that they are moving in the wrong direction and the driver with great courage confessed this to the doctor. The rain, thunder and storm were so heavy. The cab stopped in front of a house. Dr. Patnaik went to the house to find a very old lady who was praying. Doctor sought her permission to get in, the lady responded to the doctor to come in.
Doctor entered the house and asked the lady if he can make a phone call as his phone is out of charge. The lady excused herself as there was no electricity and offered him tea or something hot to drink which will help them with the climate. The doctor found the old lady so generous. The doctor thanked God for being safe. The lady immediately expressed that she would not thank God which made the doctor curious to know the reason.
The lady gestured to the little boy sleeping at the corner of the room. The boy was her grandson and his parents had died in an accident. The boy suffered from a chronic cardiac disease and their only hope was to seek help from a doctor in Delhi. They had been there thrice but failed to get an appointment. The doctors name was Dr. Patnaik.
The doctor suddenly realized the day’s crisis was his destiny and with eyes filled with tears he said to her that he himself was the doctor they were looking for and helped the boy.
Your planned destination may not be your destiny
