A visit from the God himself

Once there was a village which was affected by a pandemic. In the midst of the pandemic the villagers had no choice but to evacuate the village but the people had nowhere to go. In this chaos, one of the villagers', Manoj's wife died. The couple had a 4 year old son. One of the villagers advised Manoj that he should go to Puri Jagannath temple and pray for his wife's afterlife so that her soul shall rest in peace. Manoj went to the temple with his son. Manoj wanted to buy some flowers to offer in the temple. Manoj asked the boy to stand in the shade of a shop while he was buying things from another shop. The shopkeeper where the kid was standing got annoyed as Manoj was buying things from another shop. The shopkeeper shouted at Manoj and asked him to take the kid from his shop's shade. Manoj took the boy and told the shopkeeper that God is watching everything.

On that day the shop had zero business. Later the boy was really hungry. Manoj tried to keep him calm and consoled his son that as soon as they get darshan of the lord, they will go and have their lunch. The queue for darshan which was moving very slowly, stopped all of a sudden. The people around came to know that there was a VIP and his team who were visiting the temple and so till they finish, common people will not be allowed to enter. The VIP who was inside praying to the lord was offering 54 varieties of sweets, worth a lakh to God.

The VIPs offering the sweets were all displayed in the CCTV footage displaying television. The little boy watched it and he became more hungry. Manoj understood his son and he asked the boy to sleep for some time. Manoj took the boy in his arms and the boy rested his head on his father's shoulder and eventually fell asleep. As soon as the VIP left, the people in the queue began to rush for darshan, the order was no longer maintained and the security guards were forced to shout and beat the people to fall in a line. Manoj and his son were pushed aside. Manoj felt really sad.

Out of nowhere Manoj heard a whisper. The voice from the void told Manoj to go back home. I will visit you. Manoj and his son returned to the village. Manoj fed the boy and kept some water ready for the guest. Manoj even lit lamps to welcome god. After sometime Manoj fell asleep as well. Around midnight a man showed up. Manoj was quick to sense the presence of someone at his doorstep. A man appeared from the dark and Manoj addressed him as The Almighty. The person replied Yes you are right. Many have different perspectives of God but I am like you or any other human. I have a connection with everyone. Manoj executed his duties as a humble host and the guest took his leave. Soon after this incident the pandemic disappeared without a trace from the village. People were back to normal and happy life. Manoj and his son visited the Puri Jagannath Temple every year since then.

Manoj visits the shrine not seeking any blessing but inviting the deity to visit him. Manoj greeting the deity and treating the deity as if they are two friends is an amazing visual. Manoj has surpassed the bond of a devotee to deity, he has taken it so personally that he has made friends with the God himself.

Predictions and perspectives have no role to play with the God

Kuttoos approached his parents and said he wanted to have a puppy, to which his parents didn't agree. Kuttoos was desperate to have a puppy, his little heart figured out a way. He took his piggy bank and pulled out all the money he had saved, which was roughly 1000 rupees. Kuttoos sneaked out of the house with the money and went to a pet shop. The shop had puppies at quite a high price. Kuttoos approached the owner of the shop and told him about his savings and his determined to have a puppy. The owner told him that the puppies in the shop are too expensive and the boy will not be able to afford them. The boy walked along side of the owner and was watching the puppies in each of the kennel and he happened to notice one puppy among all.  When all the puppies were running and playing around, this one wasn't moving. Saumitran was offended by his father's words. The father thought for a while and told Saumitran,  " All i want you to do is to bring me one rupee at the end of the day, everyday."
