The three mentors

On a bright sunny day, on the eve of a special occasion, a successful businessman was delivering a speech and he happened to share insights from his life. The businessman was asked about the mantra of his success to which the gentleman replied that he had 3 mentors in his life, who played major part in his success today.
Once he failed in his business and he wanted to give up on everything and just walk away. He left his place for good, he couldn't manage to find a place to sleep even after it was late evening.  On his aimless stroll, he came across a man standing near a house and sought his help. The man told him that he was a thief trying to get away with something and there wasnt anything he could do to help the businessman. The businessman was himself in a pitiable condition and so requested the thief to help him.
Although a thief, being a good man at heart he couldn't ignore the  businessman and so took him to his home and sheltered him for a night. The businessman was comfortable and ended up staying with the thief not for just one night, but for a fortnight.
Every night, the thief used to motivate the businessman that everything will be fine, to stay positive and sleep well. Slowly, but surely the businessman realized he should restore his faith and confidence in himself. He thanked the thief before he left with belief and hope.
Then the second mentor the businessman referred to was a dog. Once he happened to watch a dog wanted to drink water but he could get the water only if he got into the water. For some reason, he saw the  dog go near water and again run away from it. The dog was scared to step into the water. But, when he returned after sometime, he saw, the dog had finally jumped to get what he wanted. This made him realise that he should put aside his fears and get out of his comfort-zone to achieve something.
The third mentor was a kid whom the businessman had met randomly. Once, he saw a cute kid standing with a lighted candle in his hand. On a funny note, the man asked the kid "Where did the light in the candle come fromis the light coming from in the candle?" The quick-witted kid without wasting any time, just blew off the candle and questioned the man "Now where did the light go?"      The man realized he should not underestimate anyone.
These three leassons had proved to be a great guiding light in making some important decisions of life.

Learn without prejudice; anybody can teach us worthy lessons,  provided we are ready to accept the knowledge.
