Be Grateful for what you have.
Once there was man named Anand. Who was very frustrated with his work. One evening Anand was home, watching television. He had a lot of work pressure of late and so he was always annoyed. Anand had a son, Kannan. He was a fourth grader. Kannan came to Anand while he was watching television and sought help with his homework. Anand scolded him and asked him to do it by himself.
The boy went back to his room. After some time, Anand felt bad for his own actions. He felt, Kannan might have really needed his help. So he went to Kannan's room and found the boy already asleep next to his books. He took the book and read the paragraph written by Kannan. It was about how some things are disliked initially and later on liked deeply.
Kannan had written :
‘Thank you very much for annual exams; we hate it but we love it because of the summer vacation that follows.
Thank you very much for all those tasteless, bitter medicines which we don't like at all, but kept us healthy.
Thank you very much for the alarm clock, we hate its sound but we love the fact that we wake up for the day.
Thank you very much God for giving me my dad in my life. I don't like him when he shouts at me but, I love him because he takes care of me, he keep me in comfort, he buy me dolls. I have a friend whose father is no more, so I am happy my father is with me.’
Anand read it and he became very emotional. He realized how ungrateful he is to all the good things in his life. Anand started to talk to himself:
Thank God for the house atleast I have one, although I have my monthly EMI I still have a roof above my head.
Thank God I have a family. Many live alone, with nobody to support them.
Thank god I have a job and the work pressure because many are jobless and homeless I still have a source of income.
Thank you god for giving me this life. I have a much better life than many, I live a life which is still a dream for many.’
We all have problems..but, we all have to be focused on the opportunities and not the problem. We must equip our minds with strength. Do things with all your heart and let the result of your actions make everyone follow you.
We should learn to acknowledge how lucky we are !!

2.     Mother's Love It was a hot summer day. There was a chemist along with his assistant doing brisk trade under the mid-noon hot sun. The pharmacist noticed an old woman across the road, staring at the shop for a long time. The shopkeeper suggested to the assistant to take care of the customers in the line and he went to check on the old lady.  The chemist crossed the road and approached her and asked her “why you are standing here alone, do you need any help from me”. The lady said she was fine. She had a son who lives in the city with his wife and three children. He and his family came and visited her every summer but this time he called her up last night and said he is going to a hill station with his family so he will not be visiting her this summer. He might come next summer. Saying this, her wrinkled grey eyes shed tears of pain out of a broken heart.  The shopkeeper was muted for a moment and he had no words for her. The mother held h...

KUTTY STORY 1

STORY.1 It is not necessary that time favours you every time. Sometimes, it teaches a lesson : How to lead a disciplined life through difficulties Once there were two youngsters, one had an office job and the other, being blind, used to beg on the pavement of the office complex where the other worked.  The employee was never appreciated by anyone in his office and so he was demotivated. He had a tough time at his work place. Everyday, the employee on his way to and from his office, watched the blind beggar. One day he saw the begger with a note saying 'I am Blind'. The employee walked up to the begger and made a small change in the note and carried on with his day.  At the end of the day, on his way back from office the employee  was curious to know if his small change in the note made any difference to the beggar. As he neared the place, the begger recognized the employee with his foot steps and said  " I understand you are the one who cam...

The life each wished for Once there lived two farmers in a village. The farmers were friends and they worked really hard. They, more or less had the same share of land in the village and eventually with time, both of them died in the same period.  After their death both the farmers were in their after life. God asked both the farmers the same question. The first farmer was asked: how was his life and how could have God made it better for him. The farmer was so annoyed and disgraced with all the hardship he had in his life. The farmer said he had no luxury, he and his family barely had anything to enjoy. They struggled to manage each day. God kept quiet and asked the farmer what he wanted to become in his next life. The farmer wished to be someone who is unquestioned and who people gave money to. God blessed him and granted his desire.  God approached the other farmer with the same question. The farmer said he was really glad with the life God had given him. The farmer thanked ...
