The life each wished for


Once there lived two farmers in a village. The farmers were friends and they worked really hard. They, more or less had the same share of land in the village and eventually with time, both of them died in the same period. 

After their death both the farmers were in their after life. God asked both the farmers the same question. The first farmer was asked: how was his life and how could have God made it better for him. The farmer was so annoyed and disgraced with all the hardship he had in his life. The farmer said he had no luxury, he and his family barely had anything to enjoy. They struggled to manage each day. God kept quiet and asked the farmer what he wanted to become in his next life. The farmer wished to be someone who is unquestioned and who people gave money to. God blessed him and granted his desire. 

God approached the other farmer with the same question. The farmer said he was really glad with the life God had given him. The farmer thanked god for everything like the land he had blessed the farmer with, so that he could work and win his bread and butter,  and the family he had. The only flaw the farmer complained about was he couldn't manage to feed those who had approached him for food. The food the farmer had was barely sufficient for his own family. God listened quietly and asked what he wanted to become in his next life. The farmer replied if he had another life he must be in such a position where anyone who came to him for food should never leave with an empty stomach. Both the farmers were born again as humans in the same village. The first farmer became a beggar as he wished everyone gave him money without any question. The second farmer became the richest man who lived and aided others. Every situation has two sides and what matters is how we see and how we stay positive in it. Our happiness is always within our grasp.


Staying positive in a negative situation will bring a positive outcome

Sometimes, it teaches a lesson : How to lead a disciplined life through difficulties Once there were two youngsters, one had an office job and the other, being blind, used to beg on the pavement of the office complex where the other worked.  The employee was never appreciated by anyone in his office and so he was demotivated. He had a tough time at his work place. Everyday, the employee on his way to and from his office, watched the blind beggar. One day he saw the begger with a note saying 'I am Blind'. World moves on without you: There lived a teacher in a small village. He had a wife, a son who was doing his higher studies and daughter who was ready to get married. He was living a contented life when a thought came to his mind that totally disturbed his peaceful existence.  He suddenly thought that he was the reason the whole family was happy. He felt that things wouldn’t be the same for them in his absence. This thought bred in him and over a few days turned into an ego in himself.
